Invite Someone to Church…

Study after study shows that more people think about going to church than we might realize, but they’re far more likely to do so if someone they know invites them. Just an invitation. No argument or debate, no guilt-tripping or arm-bending. Just a sincere, friendly, loving invitation: “Come and see.”

Encouragement and Tips for Inviting…

  • Always start with prayer and trust God. Ask Him to highlight people in your life that He wants you to invest in.

  • Don’t be afraid of someone telling you no, not having all the answers, or trying again. When the time is right, ask them to church with a loving spirit. Keep it clear, keep it concise, keep it humble, and make sure that you point them toward Jesus.

  • Making that personal invitation is as much about building a relational bridge as it is inviting them to church. Learn their story and invite them into your life.
